WRITER WEDNESDAYS:

Love to talk writing? Then we’re looking for you! Every Wednesday at Off the Keyboard is Writer Wednesday and we’re looking for guest bloggers. There are a few rules to consider before volunteering, but they’re pretty simple:

• This blog is a promotion tool for ROMANCE. At this time we request that guest bloggers be writers of romance - stories that have an HEA (happily-ever-after) or HFN (happily-for-now) ending.
• Fiction with strong romantic elements are welcome so long as they meet the HEA/HFN guideline.
• No YA due to mature content of other posts. Sorry.
• The blog post must be about writing. Share with us how you knew you wanted to be a writer, your first writing experience or even how you overcome writer’s block – as long as it’s writing related, it’s OK with us. 
• No straight promotional posts will be allowed. If you choose to blog about where the idea for your current release came from, or what the editing process was like for the book, that’s OK. You can even include the cover and blurb – but no lengthy excerpts will be allowed as we would like the focus to be more on the writing of the book than promoting your release. 
• First come, First served opportunity. We always consider requests for certain Wednesdays, but cannot guarantee the availability of the date. Please check the 'Guests' box in the sidebar to find available dates.
• Only one blog is posted each Wednesday.
• Posts appear at 12:00 Midnight EST.

CHARACTER QUICKIES:

Looking for a unique way to promote your book? Then we’re looking for you! Saturdays at Off the Keyboard are reserved for Character Quickies - a fun question and answer session designed to highlight the character of your choice. There are a few rules to consider before volunteering, but they’re pretty simple:

• This blog is a promotion tool for ROMANCE. At this time we request that guest bloggers be writers of romance - stories that have an HEA (happily-ever-after) or HFN (happily-for-now) ending.
• Fiction with strong romantic elements are welcome so long as they meet the HEA/HFN guideline.
• No YA due to mature content of other posts. Sorry.
• No titles with objectionable content (as agreed upon by majority of publishers:
• Snuff
• Racial, religious, gender, sexual intolerance
• Pedophilia
• Bestiality (sentient animals is the exception)
• Incest
• Bodily Functions
• Necrophilia
• Rape as titillation
• Age of the book doesn't matter, as long as it fits the above guidelines.
• Share with us the character of your choice - hero, heroine, or villian - we welcome them all!
